Projected! Stick Art

Oooooh, look. I started a new "segment" for my blog called "Projected!" There's a whole list of potential projects for my home and/or recreation in my notebook, but declaring them on the internet for all of my 3 readers to see makes it more official. I can not spend my 40 hours of employment per week watching Bravo and obsessing over Punchfork! I can't!

So here in Projected! I'll share projects that I plan to work on in the near future, hope maybe you're inspired, and then show you my results in a later post. It's all about accountability!

My apartment! It's huge! And the walls are all bare and brown or white (with the exception of the dark blue entry "cave"). We've been in the space long enough to cut three rent checks, so my foot has come down and shit's going up on the walls.

Paint colors are being picked out, but until I have some unadulterated time at home (which happens soon), I need to make the most of my (mostly) unadulterated time at work caring for my tiny boss. Fall's arrival seems like the perfect time to gather supplies for my next planned project. I've been seeing stick art like this here and there on the blog circuit, and am drawn to their wild colors, natural canvas, and fun patterns. Seemingly "random," colorful and mismatched stripes have me swooning these days.

My own version, which will likely involve white spray paint and just a couple of choice bright colors...maybe some wrapped yarn?, should make a nice addition to my dining room. Teal walls and white trim dressed up with some white stick art? Yes! Yes, please! I would eat in a room like that every day. And I will.

Now is the part where I tell you to "Stay tuned for the results!" and then I feel accountable and actual get it done and share it with you. So, stay tuned, dudes!

  1. YES! I have some stick art pictures saved too. I like the idea of some yarn/trim wrapping for texture. I am looking forward to what you come up with.
